Timber Hawk is a company
made up of hunters who happen to be designers. For years
Timber Hawk has seen and used the hunting backpacks put out by other
companies, so they knew what needed to be changed to make a better pack.
And the packs they make are better. Timber Hawk's designers bring
experience from other industries that have always been ahead of the
curve, when it comes to technology and function. Why, for example, has
it taken five or ten years for high-tech materials to make their way
from the ski/ snowboarding industry, to the hunting industry?
Timber Hawk is committed to
providing hunters and outdoor enthusiasts with quality products,
designed to be unlike anything on the market today. Their line of
backpacks and travel bags are designed to help you get the most out of
your experience afield, whether you’re catching the last forty minutes
of daylight in the back field after work, or on a ten-day Canadian
fly-in hunt.
You’ve seen the packs with
so many dangling straps you didn’t know what to do with half of them.
Sure, each strap is supposed to serve a purpose, but who wants to spend
their time untangling and tightening things? Timber Hawk's packs and
clothing provide simplicity, without sacrificing functionality.
Let’s face it, most of the
companies today are putting out a product of high quality -- in terms of
materials and durability -- but the quality is absent in terms of
design. This directly effects how the pack performs when taken from the
store into the woods. But you’ve already found that out, which is why
you’re considering a Timber Hawk pack.
What sets Timber Hawk
apart from the others? A lot of companies are using
compression straps on their packs these days. Problem is, you have to
undo these straps to access the main compartments. That might not seem
like a big deal when looking at packs in the store, but it gets to be a
pain-in-the-butt when doing it over and over in the field -- especially
while wearing gloves.
After re-working their
designs over the past year Timber Hawk has found a way to make main
compartments accessible without having to unclip compression straps, yet
still have those straps do their job. They achieved this by not only
positioning compression straps in the right places, but by using a
unique, loop-style zipper pull. The zipper pull is not only ergonomic,
but it works well with gloves on -- small things that make a big
difference out in the field.
